Integem Privacy Policy

Updated Date: 09/25/2020

This privacy policy applies to all individuals who visit and/or use Integem’s websites, services, and products that collect data and/or display these terms (“Integem Sites & Services”). This privacy statement applies only to information collected through Integem Sites & Services and not to information collected offline.

All references to “us,” “we,” or “our” refer to Integem.

All references to “child” or “children” refer to children under the age of 13.

By accessing or otherwise using any of our Integem Sites & Services, you consent to the terms contained in this privacy statement, including the collection, use, and disclosure of data as described below.

  1. Information We May Ask You To Provide

Through our Integem Sites & Services, we collect information about you and/or your child when you choose to provide it to us. For example, we collect information from you so you can use Integem Sites & Services, purchase products and services, register for and obtain an account, request information, apply for a job, register for one of our programs, or verify your age. In general, we may ask you to provide us with the following types of information about you and/your child:

  • Contact information such as name, email address, mailing address, phone numbers (note to parents/guardians of children: if we have actual knowledge that a user is under 13 years old, the child will be asked to have his or her parent or guardian continue the registration process);
  • Month, day, and year of birth;
  • Gender preference;
  • Course interests;
  • Billing information such as credit card number/check information and billing address;
  • Usernames to third-party systems (for example, Facebook);
  • Information provided on forums or chat rooms within our Integem Sites & Services (note to parents/guardians of children: forums and chat rooms permit a child user to enter comments through which the child could provide personal information that would be visible to other users);
  • Information included in rĂ©sumĂ©s and job applications; and
  • Health, any participation limitations or needs, immunization and allergy information.

Of course, you’ll also provide us whatever information you send through our services, such as Holographic AR iCreator¼, Holographic AR iPlayer¼, Holographic AR creator website (https://creator.integem.com), Holographic AR course platform (https://courses.integem.com).  Keep in mind that the users who view your Holographic AR projects, Holographic AR experiences, and any other content can always save that content or copy it outside the app. So, the same common sense that applies to the internet at large applies to Integem as well: Don’t send messages or share content that you wouldn’t want someone to save or share.

When you contact customer support or communicate with us in any other way, we’ll collect whatever information you volunteer or that we need to resolve your question.

Note to Parents/Guardians: We only collect the information described above, from someone we know to be a child, after the child’s parent or guardian provides us with verifiable consent, unless one of the limited exceptions discussed below applies. For more information and/or to review these limited exceptions, please see the “Our Commitment to Children’s Privacy” section below.

  1.  Information Collected Automatically

When you use our services, we collect information about which of those services you’ve used and how you’ve used them. We might know, for instance, that you watched a particular Story, saw a specific ad for a certain period of time, and sent a few Integems. Here’s a fuller explanation of the types of information we collect when you use our services:

Cookies and other Tracking Technologies

We may use cookies, web beacons, google analytics, pixel tags, log files, Local Storage Objects, or other technologies to collect certain information about visitors to and users of Integem Sites & Services, such as the date and time you visit Integem Sites & Services, the areas or pages of Integem Sites & Services that you visit, the amount of time you spend viewing or using Integem Sites & Services, the number of times you return to Integem Sites & Services, other click-stream or usage data, and emails that you open, forward or click through to Integem Sites & Services. For example, we may automatically collect certain information, such as the type of web browser and operating system you use, the name of your Internet Service Provider, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, software version, and the domain name from which you accessed our Integem Sites & Services. We use this information to monitor and improve our Integem Sites & Services, support the internal operations of our Integem Sites & Services, personalize your online experience, verify e-signatures, and for internal analysis.

We do not use cookies or similar technologies to track your activities on non-Integem Sites & Services or to serve you advertisements based on your browsing activities on non-Integem Sites & Services.

Integem Sites & Services do not recognize “Do Not Track” headers or similar mechanisms.

Our Sites & Services may use third-party plug-ins to provide additional services and benefits. These third parties may collect information about you as well.

We may also collect geolocation information from your device so we can customize your experience on our Integem Sites & Services. In most cases, you are able to turn off such data collection at any time by accessing the privacy settings of your device and/or through the settings in the applicable GPS application.

Camera and Photos.

Many of our services require us to collect images and other information from your device’s camera and photos. For example, you won’t be able to try Holographic AR experience from your camera roll unless we can access your camera or photos.

Log Information. We also collect log information when you use our website, such as:

  • details about how you’ve used our services;
  • device information, such as your web browser type and language;
  • access times;
  • pages viewed;
  • IP address;
  • identifiers associated with cookies or other technologies that may uniquely identify your device or browser; and
  • pages you visited before or after navigating to our website.

Content Information.

We collect content you create on our services, such as custom stickers, and information about the content you create or provide, such as if the recipient has viewed the content and the metadata that is provided with the content.

Usage Information.

We collect information about your activity through our services. For example, we may collect information about:

  • how you interact with our services, such as which Holographic AR project you view or play, which Holographic AR resources you use, what kind of webcam, device, and platform do you use to play Holographic AR, where you’re using Holographic AR, or what actions you did when play with Holographic AR.
  • how you communicate with other people in Holographic AR, such as their names, the time and date of your communications, the number of messages you exchange with your friends, which friends you exchange messages with the most, and your interactions with messages (such as when you open a message or capture a screenshot), and how you interact and communicate with your friends in the Holographic AR experiences.

Social Media

You also can engage with our content, and other offerings, on or through social media services or other third-party platforms, such as Facebook, or other third-party social media plug-ins, integrations and applications. When you engage with our content on or through social media services or other third party platforms, plug-ins, integrations or applications, you may allow us to have access to certain information in your profile. This may include your name, email address, photo, gender, birthday, location, an ID associated with the applicable third party platform or social media account user files, like photos and videos, your list of friends or connections, people you follow and/or who follow you, or your posts or “likes.” For a description on how social media services and other third party platforms, plug-ins, integrations, or applications handle your information, please refer to their respective privacy policies and terms of use, which may permit you to modify your privacy settings.

When we interact with you through our content on third party websites, applications, integrations or platforms, we may obtain any information regarding your interaction with that content, such as content you have viewed, and information about advertisements within the content you have been shown or may have clicked on.

Information We Collect from Third Party Services

We may also obtain other information, including personal information, from third parties and combine that with information we collect through our Websites, products and services. Here are few examples:

  • If you link your Integem account to another service (like Zoom or a third-party app), we may receive information from the other service, like how you use that service.
  • If another user uploads their contact list, we may combine information from that user’s contact list with other information we have collected about you.
  • We may have access to certain information from a third party social media or authentication service if you log in to our Services through such a service or otherwise provide us with access to information from the service. Any access that we may have to such information from a third party social media or authentication service is in accordance with the authorization procedures determined by that service. If you authorize us to connect with a third party service, we will access and store your name, email address(es), current city, profile picture URL, and other personal information that the third party service makes available to us, and use and disclose it in accordance with this Policy. You should check your privacy settings on these third party services to understand and change the information sent to us through these services. For example, you can log in to the Services using single sign-in services such as Facebook Connect or an Open ID provider.

III.   Your Ability To Control Cookies And Similar Technologies

As noted, we may use cookies or similar technologies to monitor and improve Integem Sites & Services, support the internal operations of Integem Sites & Services, personalize your online experience, support the e-signature process, and/or for internal analysis. We use these technologies to keep track of how you are using our Integem Sites & Services and to remember certain pieces of general information.

You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. Check the “Tools” or “Help” tab on your browser to learn how to change your cookie and other tracking preferences.

If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the functions of Integem Sites & Services and/or some of our services will function improperly, in particular the inability to log in or manage items in your shopping cart. We do not share cookie data with any third parties.

With other Holographic AR service users:

  • information about you, such as your username and name.
  • If you and other users join (or are going to join) the same Holographic AR experience or Holographic AR meeting, information about how you have interacted with our services, such as your images, your interactive controls of Holographic AR experience, and other information that will help Integem Holographic AR meeting user understand your connections with others using our services. For example, because it may not be clear whether a new friend request comes from someone you actually know, we may share whether you and the requestor have Integem friends in common.

1.      Users in the European Union

If you’re a user in the European Union, you should know that Integem Inc. is the controller of your personal information. Here is some additional information we would like to bring to your attention:

Rights of Access, Deletion, Correction, and Portability

You can exercise your rights of access, deletion, correction, and portability as described in the XIII section below.

Bases for Using Your Information

Your country only allows us to use your personal information when certain conditions apply. These conditions are called “legal bases” and, at Integem, we typically rely on one of four:

  • One reason we might use your information is because you’ve entered into an agreement with us. For example, when you purchase Holographic AR education service and accepted our Terms and Conditions, we need to use some of your information to collect payment and make sure we can provide proper education service to the right people at the right place and time.
  • Legitimate interest.Another reason we might use your information is because we have—or a third party has—a legitimate interest in doing so. For example, we need to use your information to provide and improve our services, including protecting your account, delivering your Integem Holographic AR experiences, providing customer support, and helping you find friends and content we think you’ll like. An important point to understand about legitimate interest is that our interests don’t outweigh your right to privacy, so we only rely on legitimate interest when we think the way we are using your data doesn’t significantly impact your privacy or would be expected by you, or there is a compelling reason to do so.
  • In some cases we’ll ask for consent to use your information for specific purposes. If we do, we’ll make sure you can revoke your consent in our services or through your device permissions. Even if we’re not relying on consent to use your information, we may ask you for permission to access data like contacts and location.
  • Legal obligation.We may be required to use your personal information to comply with the law, like when we respond to valid legal process or need to take action to protect our users. Our policy is to notify Integem users when we receive legal process seeking their account information, with some exceptions. Learn more here.

Your Right to Object

You have the right to object to our use of your information. With many types of data, we’ve provided you with the ability to simply delete it if you don’t want us processing it anymore. For other types of data, we’ve given you the ability to stop the use of your data by disabling the feature altogether. You can do these things in the app. If there are other types of information you don’t agree with us processing, you can contact us.

International Transfers

We may collect your personal information from, transfer it to, and store and process it in the United States and other countries outside of where you live. Whenever we share information of EU users outside the EU we make sure an adequate transfer mechanism is in place.

Complaints? If you’re based in the EU, you can always file a complaint with the supervisory authority in your Member State.

4.      California Residents

If you’re a California resident, you have certain privacy rights under California law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”). Our California Privacy Notice specifies these rights:

  • Right to know what personal information we collect. You have the right to request details on the specific personal information we’ve collected about you. We provide this information in our Privacy Center, but you can also get this information by contacting us. In addition, you can request a copy of your data here or directly through the settings in the app.
  • Right to know who we share your data with. We do not sell your data, but we do share your information with others for legitimate business purposes. For example, we use service providers to store and host your data. See the Sharing Your Information section below for more details.
  • Right to deletion. You have the right to request deletion of your data, unless an exception applies. Examples of exceptions include when we need to keep data to meet legal obligations, detect fraud, investigate reports of abuse or other Terms of Service violations, or fix security issues. Upon your verified request, we’ll delete your personal information (unless an exception applies) and will direct our service providers to do the same. By design, we have pretty short retention terms, so most data is deleted quickly anyway.
  • Get a timely response. You have the right to make two free requests in any 12-month period. We will respond to your request within 45 days, and in more difficult cases we may extend our response time by another 45 days. Our support team is pretty great, so they tend to respond a lot quicker. The easiest way to get information is by following the instructions above, but you or your authorized agent can also email support@integem.com.
  • Non-Discrimination. It goes without saying, but we will not hold it against you when you exercise any of your rights. In fact, we encourage you to review your privacy settings closely and reach out to us with your questions.

We Don’t Sell Your Data

Sharing Your Information

We may share your personal information to a third party for a business purpose or at your direction. For example, we share your personal information with our data hosting and storage providers. We enter into agreements with our service providers in which they can only use your information for specific purposes and are required to ensure its confidentiality.

XII.    Data Security Commitment

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place reasonable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect. We also use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol on your account information and registration pages to protect sensitive personal information.
